Each year, ASMC’s premier training event, the National Professional Development Institute (PDI), takes place in a different city around the country. This three-day, hybrid event enhances the knowledge and skills for financial managers in the Department of Defense, US Coast Guard, and public and private sectors. PDI provides attendees with best practices toward meeting the complex challenges of today’s fiscal environment, aligned with the five strategic goals of the DoD FM Strategy.

PDI 2023
PDI 2023 took place on May 31 – June 2, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri and on ASMC’s virtual platform. Thank you to the 7,500+ attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, and staff for making it the largest PDI yet and a great success. CPE certificates were mailed in July 2023. PDI 2023 On Demand is the comprehensive digital library of content with more than 150 hours of workshops and sessions from the Professional Development Institute (PDI) held in St. Louis, Missouri.
This comprehensive digital library offers:

- Ability to claim 180+ CPEs to re-certify for CDFM and DFMCP certifications

- 120+ sessions with audio or video files and PDFs of presentation slides*
For some workshop recordings, you’ll be able to watch presenters’ slides while listening to fully synchronized audio as if you were actually attending each session. For others, you’ll be able to listen to the audio recordings. All recorded sessions are accredited for PDI 2023 On Demand. *Specific slides may not be available if the presenter has confidential information or otherwise requested that certain slides be removed.

Why Attend PDI?
PDI attendees converge with high-level speakers and instructors for this three-day in-person and virtual event to focus on education and training, with more than 100 educational sessions and 300 speakers, and the ability to earn up to 150 continuing professional education (CPE) units. CPEs include on-site sessions, virtually live-streamed sessions, and recorded session content post-PDI.
PDI features a full day of Service and Defense Agencies sessions; general sessions; minicourses aligned to the DoD Financial Management Certification Program competencies and associated proficiency levels; financial management, audit, acquisition, and workforce management sessions; and other special activities. ASMC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accounting (NASBA) standards to obtain and maintain certifications.
